Nigel Olsson

Nigel Olsson ( born February 10, 1949 in Wallasey, Merseyside, England ) is a drummer who is particularly known as a musician in a band of Elton John.

In 1970, Nigel Olsson was temporary drummer for the band Uriah Heep.

Already at the beginning of Elton John's career, appearing in the 1971 album Tumbleweed Connection, he was the guitarist Davey Johnstone, bassist Dee Murray, and percussionist Ray Cooper to "stem formation" of the band, John accompanied most successful years.

Between 1975 and 1980, Olsson was active as a studio musician and self- published several albums, but with limited success. From 1980 to 1984 he again worked with the original band of Elton John and was involved in the recording of five albums Elton John and his tours.

Since 2000 Nigel Olsson is again a permanent member of the band of Elton John, both in studio recordings as well as tours.

On June 13, 2009 Nigel Olsson played in Bristol / GB the 1500. Concert at the side of Elton John.
