Niklas Kohrt

Niklas Kohrt ( born March 21, 1980 in Luckenwalde ) is a German actor.

Life

Niklas Kohrt spent his childhood and youth in Berlin. In 1999 he completed his high school education at the Karl Schiller High School and then began his one-year community service in a hospital.

In October 2000, he first started at the Humboldt University of Berlin to study cultural, political and theater studies. After two years he abandoned his studies to study at the prestigious Academy of Dramatic Arts "Ernst Busch " Berlin. During his drama school (2002-2006) he was engaged in 2004 for the role of Keith in Lars Norén's cold piece, which was performed at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin. Since the season 2005/2006 Niklas Kohrt ensemble member was at the Deutsches Theater and henceforth has been involved in several pieces. In the movies he starred in several films with (eg Muxmäuschenstill, Tough Enough ).

In 2008, he received the Alfred Kerr Actor Award of the Berlin Theatre Meeting for the presentation of Bruno Mechelke for his performance in Gerhart Hauptmann's Rats. Shortly afterwards, he was voted the best young actor for the same role of the jury of the magazine Theater heute.

2009-2011 was Niklas Kohrt ensemble member at the Schauspielhaus Zurich. As a guest actor he continues to cooperate with individual productions at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin.

At the beginning of the season 2013/2014 he moved to the Cologne Theatre.
