Nikolčice

Nikolčice ( German Nikoltschitz, formerly Nikolschitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers north of Hustopeče and belongs to Okres Břeclav.

Geography

Nikolčice is located in the hills of the Highlands Boleradická, a western spur of Steinitzer forest in Quelltal the creek Nikolčický creek. To the west lies the valley of the Svratka. To the east of Lichy rises (331 m), in the southeast of Přední kout (410 m ) south of the Žerotínský vrch ( 381 m ) in the southwest of Liščí vrch ( Fuchsberg, 374 m) and west of the Krepicka stará hora ( Framberg, 322 m).

Neighboring towns are Moutnice and Těšany in the north, Šitbořice in the northeast, Diváky in the east, Boleradice and Horni Bojanovice to the southeast, and Kurdejov Hustopeče in the south, Starovice and Nová Ves in the southwest, Křepice in the west and Novy Dvur in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Mikulcice took place in 1046 in the founding charter of the collegiate Altbunzlauer, in the Duke Břetislav I gave the place along with other villages in the chapter. Later the village was called Horni Mikulcice or Nykulčice. In 1353 a fort was mentioned. After numerous changes of ownership Nikolčice was connected at the beginning of the 16th century by William II of Pernštejna to the rule Seelowitz. The Lords of Zierotin, which had since 1564 Seelowitz, exercised religious tolerance. After Johann Dionys had died of Zierotin without male issue, the community of heirs sold the rule on October 13, 1616 for 400000 Moravian florins to Adam von Waldstein. From the forest Steinern the Obersthofkanzler Philipp Ludwig von Sinzendorf 1714 bought the property. His three sons Johann Wilhelm Octavian, Karl Niklas and Joseph Bernard were selling their possessions in 1743 at the Moravian Oberstkämmerer Leopold von Dietrich stone. 1731 a Lokalie was established in Nikolčice. On December 10, 1819 acquired Albert Casimir of Sachsen -Teschen, the reign of Franz Joseph von Dietrich stone. 1834 consisted of 164 houses and the village had 789 inhabitants, of whom 538 were Catholics and 251 belonged to the Evangelical Church HB of. After the abolition of patrimonial Nikolčice / Nikolschitz formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Auspitz. After the district town Auspitz and the southern neighboring towns were added to the German Reich in 1938 as a result of the Munich Agreement, Nikolčice was on the German border. The congregation was then to 1945 assigned to the District Policy Brno-Country and the jurisdiction Židlochovice. After the end of World War II the Okres Hustopeče was restored. After its completion in 1960 is part of the repeal Nikolčice Okres Břeclav.

In Nikolčice is a primary school, in which also the children from Křepice, Diváky and Nový Dvůr be taught. Near the village there are large vineyards.
