Nilakka

The Nilakka is a lake in the Finnish countryside Savo.

The lake has a maximum length of 41 km. The area is 168.98 km ². The lake lies at an altitude of 102.3 m and has a maximum depth of 21.74 m.

On the banks of Nilakka the place is Keitele. The lake is fed by the drainage of northeastern Lake Pielavesi. About the rapids Huuhtajankoski and Äyskoski the water of Nilakka drains to the south lake Rasvanki. Over a number of other lakes, including Iisvesi and Konnevesi, the water of Nilakka finally reaches the Päijänne. Thus, the Nilakka is in the catchment area of ​​the Kymi River.
