Nizami Pashayev

Nizami Paşayev ( born February 2, 1981) is an Azerbaijani weightlifter.

Career

Nizami Paşayev participated in the 2008 Summer Olympics, where he finished fifth with 396 kg.

He won two World Championships in 2002 in the category up to 94 kg with a total capacity of 392.5 kg and 401 kg in 2005 and took a silver medal at the 2001 World Championships 405 kg.

Next to it is a gold medal in 2001, he had taken at the European Championships with 387.5 kg. In 2006 he was found guilty of doping and banned for two years.
