Fontaine Noire is a commune in the French department Doubs in the Franche -Comté.

Geography

Noire Fontaine is located on 357 m, 4 km south of Pont -de- Roide and about 18 km south of the town of Montbéliard (air line). The village is located in the Jura, in a valley widening of the Doubs River near the mouth of the Barbèche, at the upper entrance to the klusartigen breakthrough of the Doubs by Lomont at the western foot of Mont Écheroux.

History
