Norbert Hofmann (footballer born 1951)
Norbert Hofmann ( born August 14, 1951) is a former German football player and current coach.
Career
About the clubs VfB Autenhausen, VfB Coburg and 1.FC Bayreuth came Norbert Hofmann 1974 SpVgg Bayreuth, which contested the newly formed 2nd Bundesliga. Soon, Hofmann had won a regular place in the team Bayreuth. The SpVgg was almost always to be found at this time in the top half of the table, in 1979 one was even second and thus played for the promotion to the Bundesliga against the runner-up of Season North, Bayer 05 Uerdingen. Hofmann, who had meanwhile been converted from striker to defender, stood in two games on the grid. After a 1-1 draw at the Municipal Stadium in Bayreuth the return match in Krefeld went with 1:2 lost, so the rise was missed. The interest of Bayer Uerdingen on Hofmann but was awakened, and as the preferred candidate of coach Horst Buhtz moved in December 1979 to Bayer 05 Uerdingen in the Bundesliga.
In the first (half) year of relegation succeeded. In the following season, Hofmann was with Heinz -Werner Eggeling the top scorer in his team (ten goals). In addition to its traditional position in the outer defense, he was also employed at various positions in the offensive area. For the team, the season did less well - as Table stood at the end of the relegation to the second division. The 1981/82 season was only struck with a 12th place in the table, then followed in 1983 but the resurgence under coach Hans -Dieter Tip Hauer, who replaced during the season Werner Biskup. This time Hofmann was again best internal scorer ( eleven goals, along with Peter Loontiens ). In the relegation one was against FC Schalke 04 successfully (3:1, 1:1). After the season 1983/84, in the Bayer Uerdingen under coach Timo Konietzka tenth was left Hofmann Uerdingen and returned to his native Bavaria.
Hofmann was player-manager at TSV Ebermannstadt in his new home. He led the club to the Bezirksoberliga ( three climbs ). From 1991, he coached several clubs in the Bavarian League ( 1 SC 08 Bamberg, Bayreuth SpVgg Jahn Forchheim, SC Feucht ). From September 2002 to 2003 DFB - base coach was in Vestenbergsgreuth. He then worked again as a coach and oversaw 2003-2008 FC Sand ( fifth division ). Currently (2010) he is the coach of the District Oberliga SV Buckenhofen.
Full-time Hofmann was a general representation of the alliance since the mid- nineties.
