SpVgg Jahn Forchheim

The SpVgg Jahn Forchheim is a sports club based in the Upper Franconian city of Forchheim. The association has 10 departments and about 1,500 members. The association is the promotion of youth and amateur sports in the foreground.

Formation

In 1904 the TV Jahn Forchheim was founded twenty years later with the sports association Forchheim the second predecessor of today's club SpVgg. These two clubs merged in 1947 to SpVgg Jahn Forchheim.

Football Division

From 1994 played Jahn Forchheim after they won the championship of the division center ( Bavaria ) for six seasons in the Football League Bayern and then retired at the end of the 1999/2000 season back for financial reasons, although by no means sporty lacked the class. Coach Roland Seitz led the newly formed team immediately into midfield in the league. In another past, played between the late 60s to mid-90s, many seasons in the National League. After the game class reform in 2012 the team was grouped into the Bayern League North.

Despite promising athletic position at the top of the club was in April of 2012, not to apply for Regional License for the 2013/14 season and to dispense with a possible promotion to the Regionalliga Bayern.
