Nordharz (Verwaltungsgemeinschaft)
In the administrative community in the Northern Harz Harz district in Saxony -Anhalt nine municipalities had joined forces to fulfill their administrative business. The administrative community had its seat in Veckenstedt. Covering an area of 138.41 km ² lived 11,632 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2008). Recent management guide was Hannelore Striewski.
On 1 January 2010, Their castle castle of Blankenburg (Harz ) that Reddeber came to Wernigerode and the remaining municipalities merged with Danstedt from the administrative community Harz foreland -Huy unity community Nordharz.
