Normand Aubin

Normand Aubin ( born July 26, 1960 in St. Leonard, Quebec ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who played from 1981 to 1983 for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League.

Career

Norm Aubin began his career as a hockey player 1976 in LHJMQ, in which he played three years for the Sorel Eperviers that Verdun and the Sherbrooke Castors Eperviers. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1979 in the third round than a total of 51 players from the Toronto Maple Leafs. In the summer of 1980 Aubin was appointed to the Executive of the New Brunswick Hawks of the American Hockey League, the then farm teams Toronto, for which he was only active in the following season. During the 1981/82 season the Canadians stood both for the Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League, as well as for the Cincinnati Tigers of the Central Hockey League on the ice.

During the 1982/83 season Aubin played in 27 games of the regular season and the playoffs for the Maple Leafs and mainly for their new farm team, the St. Catharines Saints of the American Hockey League in the next season exclusively for the Saints. After Aubin's contract was not renewed with the Maple Leafs in the summer of 1984, it took until December of the same year, to the Edmonton Oilers took the attacker under contract. Subsequently, he was however only at damaligem farm team, the Nova Scotia Oilers used, so that he ended his professional career at the end of the season.
