Normand Corbeil

Normand Corbeil ( born April 6, 1956 in Montreal, † 25 January 2013) was a Canadian composer for film music.

Work

Corbeil worked as a composer for film music since the late 1980s. From 1995 to 2005 he worked on several projects with director Christian Duguay together, starting with Screamers - Deadly Screams (1995), ending with Human Trafficking ( 2005).

For the video game Heavy Rain was published in 2009 Corbeil composed the music. For this he was awarded the 2011 BAFTA Games Awards. Before that he set with Fahrenheit in 2005 a video game. His last work was the soundtrack to the game Beyond: Two Souls.

  • Corbeil was awarded in 2009 with Serge Fiori the Prix Jutra for the film Babine.
  • With the Prix Gémeaux Corbeil was awarded two times: For the television series Grande ourse (2004 ) and the miniseries L' héritière de grande ourse ( 2005).
  • After four nominations for the Genie Award for the period of 1996 to 2009, he was awarded this in 2010.
  • Corbeil was nominated twice for an Emmy.
