North Wiltshire
North Wiltshire was a District in the county of Wiltshire in England. Administrative headquarters was Chippenham; other important places were Calne and Malmesbury.
The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Municipal Boroughs Chippenham, Calne and Malmesbury, and the Rural Districts Calne and Chippenham, Cricklade and Wootton Bassett and Malmesbury.
On April 1, 2009, among North Wiltshire, all other Districts in Wiltshire were abolished and incorporated into the new unitary authority of Wiltshire.
