Norwegian Military Academy

Krigsskolen is the Military Academy of the Norwegian Army, Oslo.

The Academy was established by Royal Decree on 16 December in 1750 as the frie matematiske skole i Christiania, and is therefore the oldest institution of higher learning in Norway.

In addition to the training of future officers in military science to school for training in mathematics, science, architecture and engineering is well known. Many infrastructure projects such as bridges were designed and built by graduates of Krigsskolen.

A library with 11,000 books and 130 subscription newspapers and magazines are available for the cadets.
