Nová Hradečná

Nová Hradečná is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located nine kilometers north-west of Uničov and belongs to Okres Olomouc. The Nová Hradečná originated in 1960 by the merger of the municipalities Hradečná and Hradec.

Geography

Nová Hradečná extends in the Úsovská Highlands ( Ausseer hills ) on the right side of Oskava in the valley of the brook Brabínka. North West of the town rises the Bradlo ( Bradl stone, 600 m), in the north of Cerveny vrch (Lieb Auersberg; 324 m), in the south of the Hurka ( Hurkaberg; 341 m) and in the southwest of Kárník ( Karnikberg, 400 m). Šumperk - Through the town, the railway runs Uničov.

Neighboring towns are Libina in the north, Dolni Libina and Břevenec in the northeast, Šumvald in the east, Troubelice in the south, Sídliště in the southwest, Lipinka in the west and Kamenná and Nedvězí in the northwest.

History

Hradeschna was first documented in 1344. In the following years the place was known as marker May.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed marker village and Graetz, who were colonized predominantly German, independent municipalities in the district Litovel. 1910 both villages came to the district Šternberk. In the 1910 census, lived in the village marker 541 German and nine Czechs. 1930 lived in Hradec / Králové 399 people in the village there were 613 markers

After the Munich Agreement, both places were annexed to the German Reich and belonged from 1939 to 1945 to the district Sternberg. Between 1945 and 1960 Hradečná and Hradec were part of the Okres Šternberk again and, after its dissolution in 1961 associated with the Okres Olomouc.

The Nová Hradečná was formed in 1960 by the Association of Municipalities Hradečná and Hradec. In 1976, the annexation to Troubelice, since 1990, the municipality is again.
