NSB Class 72

NSB type 72 or BM 72 is the name of a four-part electric multiple unit, each consisting of the end cars BMa and BMb and the interim carriage BC and BP. They are designed for suburban services and be employed in the UCB on the outskirts of Oslo and on the Jærbanen between Stavanger and Egersund. The vehicles were procured from 2002 as a replacement for the older BM 69 at AnsaldoBreda and initially advertised under the brand NSB pulse. The trains can accommodate 306 passengers.
