Nuevo Central Argentino

Nuevo Central Argentino (NCA ) is an Argentine railway company based in Rosario (Santa Fe), the freight operates primarily on the Ferrocarril Bartolomé Mitre.

Once under the presidency of Carlos Menem government Ferrocarriles Argentinos were privatized, the newly established company Nuevo Central Argentino took over for thirty years with an option for ten more, the freight concession on the Ferrocarril Bartolomé Mitre. The operation began on 23 December 1992. Overall, the company operates traffic to over 5000 km between the provinces of Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Córdoba, Santiago del Estero and Tucumán. So far, NCA was able to increase the volume of orders continuously, in 1993 2.83 million tons were transported 7.13 million tons in 2002.

Since 2005 Nuevo Central Argentino, in collaboration with the local public transport company Ferrovías long-distance transport under the name Ferrocentral between the capital and the provincial capitals of San Miguel de Tucumán and Córdoba.
