Nurmsi ( German also Nurmsi ) is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Hanila ( Hanila vald ). It is in the west- Estonian county Läänemaa, 12 kilometers east of the port Virtsu.

Description and History

The village has 44 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).

1320 the village was sold under the name Normes by the Teutonic Knights at the monastery in Padise.
