The Office Or mountain was formed in 1992 in a office in the district of Barnim (Brandenburg). Official residence was in the city or mountain. In office Odersberg five municipalities and the city or mountain of the former district of Eberswalde were first together. The Office Or mountain was disbanded in late 2008, most of the official member municipalities were allocated to the Britz office -Chorin. The official nationals community Hohensaaten was incorporated to Bad Freienwalde (Oder). The enlarged office was renamed the Office Britz -Chorin -or mountain.

Geographical location

The Office Or mountain lay to the east of the district Barnim in Brandenburg ( Germany ), and bordered to the Office Britz -Chorin in the west, to the county Uckermark in the north, to the Republic of Poland in the east, as well as the county Maerkisch -or land in the south.

History

On 17 June 1992 the Minister of the Interior gave its approval for the formation of the Office or a mountain, has been set for the conclusion of June 19, 1992. Seat of the official administration was the city or mountain. The following five municipalities and the city or mountains from the then district Eberswalde were summarized in:

  • Liepe
  • Lunow
  • Luedersdorf
  • Parstein
  • Stolzenhagen and the City
  • Or mountain

In a notice dated 22 January 1993, the Ministry announced its approval for the allocation of community Hohensaaten to the Official Odersberg. The assignment was effective January 29, 1993.

On March 1, 2002, the municipalities Luedersdorf and Parstein merged to form the new municipality Parsteinsee. At the same time also Lunow and Stolzenhagen merged to form new communities Lunow - Stolzenhagen.

On 1 January 2009 the Office or mountain, which included last five municipalities was dissolved. The communities Liepe, Lunow - Stolzenhagen ( with the districts Lunow and Stolzenhagen ), the city or mountain and Parsteinsee ( with the districts Luedersdorf and Parstein ) were incorporated into the Office Britz -Chorin, which was renamed at the same time in office Britz -Chorin -or mountain. The community Hohensaaten (previously Office Or mountain, Barnim ) was incorporated ( county Maerkisch -or country) to Bad Freienwalde (Oder). The county borders between the district and the district of Barnim Mark- Or country were changed accordingly; Hohensaaten now belongs to the district of Bad Freiwalde Mark- or country.

The Office had last inhabitants ( 31 December 2007) on an area of ​​118.57 km ².

Office directors

By 2000, Christian Trill was Amtsdirektor. Then Christina Faustmann. She was put on hiatus due to illness in 2007. Then Christina Rüske led the office as deputy director. Last Official Director Ilka was Sakowski. She had been entrusted by the Barnim with the performance of the duties, after filling the post had failed by tender.
