Oliver Barth

Oliver Barth ( born October 6, 1979 in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt ) is a German football player.

Career

Barth played in the youth sections of TSV Schmiden and VfB Stuttgart. By 2001, he then wore the jersey of the SV Fellbach. Since he saw no prospect of making even as a professional football career, he trained as a merchant, before he moved to the Stuttgarter Kickers in the Regionalliga Süd. After 106 games for the Regional Kickers - most recently as captain - moved Barth 2005 at historic division side Fortuna Dusseldorf. For this, he played in two years 44 Regionalliga games.

Barth joined the 2007/08 season free transfer to the then second division side SC Freiburg. On 17 August 2007, he performed his first mission in the 2nd Bundesliga in the game against SC Paderborn 07 total, he was in his first season used 12 times, including more than twice the entire game. Since the rise in the 1st Bundesliga Barth is under coach Robin Dutt regular in the Freiburg defense. Matchday 16 of the 2010/11 season with his second goal in Freiburg's 3-0 home win against Borussia Mönchengladbach scored his first Erstligatreffer. End of April 2012 gave the Freiburg then announced that the June 30, 2012 expiring contract of Barth will not be renewed.

On June 18, 2012, the second division Movers VfR Aalen announced the commitment of Barth. Barth signed a one -year contract until 30 June 2013 with an option for another year.
