Ömer Erdoğan

Ömer Erdoğan ( May 3, 1977 in Kassel ) is a retired German -Turkish football player and coach.

Playing career

Clubs

Ömer Erdoğan began his career at Hessen Kassel. In 1997 he moved to second division side FC St. Pauli and missed almost there promotion to the Bundesliga. After just one season left Ömer St. Pauli and went to Turkey.

There he played for Erzurumspor and Diyarbakirspor. The traditional club Galatasaray committed Ömer in 2003, where he did not get beyond the reserve player and left the club. He then played two years for Malatyaspor. Since 2006, Ömer Erdoğan plays for Bursaspor. With this team he was in the 2009/10 season as captain of Turkish masters.

He finished his career in 2013 Bursaspor. His last game was 33 in the game against Eskişehirspor.

National

Ömer Erdoğan was nominated for the first time in his career for the first two qualifying matches for the 2012 European Football Championship in the squad of the Turkish national team. He made his debut here on 3 September 2010 qualifier against Kazakhstan national football team in the Kazakh capital Astana.

Coaching career

After end of his career to 2013, the Bursaspor a co- coaching job was offered, which Erdoğan should assist the head coach Hikmet Karaman. This offer he refused.

End of June 2013, he announced his old coach Ertuğrul Sağlam, with whom he was at Bursaspor Turkish master, in his new employer Eskişehirspor will assist as an assistant coach.
