Omsk

Omskavia was a company headquartered in the Siberian city of Omsk Russian airline. That company was out of the aircraft inventory of Aeroflot.

History

The company was founded on 1 February 1994. One first operated the flight Omsk - Moscow and flew to Germany. 1996 began a collaboration with the Iran Airtour and Mahan Air

The company was in the sphere of influence of the Russian airline manager and twin brothers Boris and Alexander Mikhailovich Abramovich, who held a share of 70 % of the airline. End of 2004, the Society of AiRUnion Alliance joined, which consisted of the airlines in the Abramovich brothers KrasAir, Sibaviatrans, Samara Airlines and Domodedovo Airlines.

At the end of 2007, the five companies should then merge under the name AirUnion to a major airline, which, however, due to financial problems never happened. Omskavia then presented on 17 October 2008, a flight operations.

Objectives

Omskavia flew scheduled services Moscow, Nizhnevartovsk and Sochi in Russia and Frankfurt, Hannover and Cologne in Germany. They also offered charter flights to the Mediterranean, the Middle East ( Iran) and to Thailand.
