Ondřej Vaculík

Ondrej Vaculik ( born May 12, 1986 in Jilemnice ) is a Czech ski jumper.

Vaculíks first international competitions were a series of jumping ski jumping Continental Cup 2001/ 02, where he though with a 27 rank took only a few points as best placement and finally 248 was overall. A season later, he first took part in the Nordic Juniorenskiweltmeisterschaft, where he managed a team at least seventh place. After the next time he did not achieve good results in the individual competitions, the Association nominated him to the end of 2005 for no more Continental Cup competitions. Only in the 2005/06 season he started again in that division club race series and improved its top result on a 14th. He was then still employed in the same season in the World Cup, where he collected 28 equal to the second jumping his first World Cup points. After another good performance in the team with which he finished seventh at the World Cup in Willingen, he started as one of five Czech ski jumpers at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. While he qualified in singles and 45th only just for the competition, he won with the team to ninth place.

In the season 2006/ 07 Vaculik arrive at the Continental Cup competitions in Engelberg and Planica successful results, including a second and two fourth grades. Overall, he placed in the overall standings in 27th place, also he achieved thus more World Cup bets, but he missed there the second passages and thus points. In March 2007, the Czech was at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Sapporo at the start, where he was 50th in singles. In winter 2007/08 Vaculik placed in two FIS Cup jumping on the second place, came to re top 10 results in the Continental Cup. In summer 2008, he succeeded to the FIS Grand Prix some good results, including a third place with the team. The Ski Jumping World Cup 2008/2009 began successfully for him with other points and his previous best individual placing, a 25th place while jumping in Engelberg.
