OpenMeetings

Open meeting is a free software for online meetings under the Eclipse Public License. The aim is to set up a meeting in a few steps, where you can multi-party conduct a conference via audio / video, drawing board and shared desktop. The product is based on the RIA framework OpenLaszlo and Red5 Media Server. There are different scenarios for the implementation and planning of a conference. The recommended database is MySQL. The software can be installed as a hosted service or on your own server.

The development of open meetings began in 2006. Previously, it has been downloaded over 500,000 times. Open meetings is available in over 30 languages ​​and is used by various public institutions, universities and private companies.

Public institutions are, for example, the Centre of Competence in Open Source Sweden / Finland or the school intranet the city of Koblenz ' Koblenz school network ' with 45 locations. Other publications can be found on ZDNET, in LinuxMag France Page 40-44 or Ajax Magazine.

OpenMeetings has submitted an application for inclusion in the Apache Incubator, Apache Software Foundation and was admitted there on November 12, 2011.
