Oren Moverman

Oren Moverman ( born July 4, 1966) is an Israeli screenwriter and film director. For his film The Messenger - The last message he was nominated for an Oscar in 2010.

Life

Moverman grew up in Israel. He spent four years as a paratrooper in the military before he moved to study in the United States at the age of 22 years.

He first worked as a journalist then wrote, among other things Screenplays for the films Jesus' Son with Billy Crudup and Dennis Hopper and Married Life with the actors Pierce Brosnan and Rachel McAdams. Also in the Bob Dylan biography I'm Not There in 2007, which was filmed by director Todd Haynes with the main actors Christian Bale and Cate Blanchett, he wrote the screenplay with Haynes.

The first film in which Moverman directed, was the war drama The Messenger. - The last message from the year 2009, together with Alessandro Camon he also wrote the screenplay for which they nominated at the Academy Awards in 2010 for an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay were.
