Orient Thai Airlines

Orient Thai Airlines ( Thai: โอ เรียน ท์ ไทย แอร์ ไลน์ ), is a Thai airline based in Chiang Mai and base at the airport Bangkok - Don Mueang.

Business

Orient Thai Airlines was founded in 1995. The fleet of the company is painted white with a stylized Thai flag on the vertical tail, the logo is the red outline of a seagull in the slogan " Simply Thai ".

In July 2008, Orient Thai license was revoked for 56 days, after previously were known several violations of flight safety, including the violation of working hours.

The former 100-percent subsidiary One-Two -Go Airlines was integrated into Orient Thai 2010. Orient Thai was also in possession of 49 percent of the shares of defunct Kampuchea Airlines from Cambodia.

In July 2013 Orient Thai looked from her last McDonnell Douglas MD -82.

Destinations

Orient Thai Airlines currently flies scheduled services from Bangkok - Don Mueang domestic to Phuket and also internationally to Hong Kong and Guangzhou. In addition, charter flights are operated and leased aircraft and to other companies.

As of October 2013, the fleet of Orient Thai Airlines aircraft consists of 21 with an average age of 24 years:

  • 2 Boeing 737-400
  • 2 Boeing 747-300 ( phasing out prospectively in early 2014 )
  • 5 Boeing 747-400 (4 operated for Saudia )
  • 3 Boeing 767-300
  • 3 Boeing 767 -300ER (2 operated for Saudia, of which one had an accident in early 2014 )
