Orionarm
The Orionarm (including local arm) is a spiral galaxy ( tributary ) of the Milky Way, which contains our solar system, among others.
The Orionarm is situated between the Sagittarius arm and the Perseus arm and is probably a smaller tributary. It is about 20,000 light-years long, 2,000 light- years wide and about 26,000 light -years from the galactic center. It is characterized by a number of hot stars of classes O and B, which mainly belong to the constellation of Orion. For this reason it got its name, Orionarm.
The sun and its system is - in the longitudinal direction approximately in the center - the inner, located towards the galactic center edge of the Orionarms.
