Orville O. Dull

Orville "Bunny" Oscar Dull ( born April 25, 1888 in Lima, Ohio, † December 29, 1978 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American assistant director, film director and producer, who at the Oscar ceremony 1949 Oscar for Best Documentary obtained.

Life

Orville O. Dull was assistant director for the films Daddy 's Gone A- Hunting (1925) and The Dixie Merchant ( 1926) and was nominated for the Academy Awards in 1934 for an Oscar for best assistant director.

From the mid- 1920s he was himself working as a director and produced some of his most incurred as a short film work itself

For he produced documentary The Secret Land (1948 ) he received the Oscar for best documentary at the Academy Awards in 1949.

One of the most well-known films produced by him was When Ladies Meet (1941 ) by Robert Z. Leonard.
