Oscar is a French comedy film from director Edouard Molinaro with Louis de Funès, based on the same stage success by Claude Magnier. The premiere was on 11 October 1967. In German-speaking countries, the film was also under the titles Louis, the dream dancers and Oscar, who Korinthenkacker.

The remake Oscar - From bad to worse originated in the U.S. with Sylvester Stallone in the lead role.

Action

The Industrial Bertrand Barnier is one morning in his villa visited by his accountant Christian Martin, who asks him for a high salary increase. At the same time Martin admits to have his boss stole a higher sum of money and asks for the hand of his daughter. In return, Martin promises not to make public a tax Barnier. After initial hesitation Barnier agrees. He speaks his daughter Colette on the incident, which is highly delighted with the news, but not Barnier. The maid Bernadette gives her the hint to specify a pregnancy. Then the father gives his consent.

A little later a young girl named Jacqueline Bouillon (original Bouillotte ) that explains to love Christian Martin. Furthermore, she claims to have spent over Martin, the daughter of millionaire entrepreneur. Barnier, meanwhile, is informed by his wife, Germaine, that it is at Colette's beloved around the former driver Oscar, who was fired two weeks ago. After Martin was mistakenly sent to a House of Pleasure, where Jacqueline is supposed to live, Martin comes back dissolved and bring back the jewelery box. Delighted on recovering the jewelry Bertrand says the truth and sends Martin to Jacqueline.

A little later, an elderly lady named Charlotte applying for the vacant place of the housemaid. She had already been in the service of the chief's. It turns out that Jacqueline is the daughter of Charlotte and Barnier. Even the dismissed chauffeur Oscar enters the scene. Meanwhile, sweep the house, Bernadette returned to pick up her suitcase and inadvertently accesses back to the jewelery case.
