OSCAR 2

OSCAR 2 was an amateur radio satellite. It was built as a successor of OSCAR 1.

The satellite was launched on June 2, 1962 as a secondary payload along with a keyhole satellite with a Thor - Agena rocket at Vandenberg Air Force Base. On June 21, 1962, he burned up the planned re-entry into Earth's atmosphere. The satellite was broadly in its predecessor. His COSPAR designation 1962 - 022B.
