Oscar Bonfiglio

Oscar Bonfiglio Martinez ( October 5, 1905 *; † 14 January 1987), also known by the nickname El Yori, was a Mexican football player.

Biography

International career

The goalkeeper was a member of the Mexican national football team, and took her part in the first World Cup in 1930. There he came in games against France and Argentina used. In those two games, he conceded ten goals. He also was a member of the squad at the Summer Olympic Games in 1928, where Mexico failed to Spain in the second round with 1:7.

Club career

Óscar Bonfiglio " El Yori " began his active playing career with the military team Cuenta y Administración, which had been summoned by the head of the same department, the football-mad Colonel Rafael M. Aguirre to life. With inclusion in the capital league the team was renamed Guerra y Marina, under which they participated in the season 1922/23 in the league. In 1948 he moved to Irapuato, where he took over as coach at CD Irapuato.
