Osmanagić pyramid hypothesis
The hypothesis of the so-called Bosnian pyramids goes back to the American- Bosnian Contractors, amateur researchers and esoteric Semir Osmanagić who claims that far from the town of Visoko in Bosnia and Herzegovina befänden several pyramids, which were built by human hands for a very long time ago. The so-called Bosnian pyramids

Christ lived and the pyramids would have been thus built during this period. On the website of the Bosnian Pyramids, however, he is quoted as follows:
" The next year, 2007 will be marked by the astonishment of mankind, who wonders how such a colossal structure was built before the end of the last Ice Age. "

" When it comes to dating, there are more and more indications that the main complex of the pyramid was completed before the end of the last ice age -. Indicates that there was a worldwide plan to build this building "
A report of his team in November 2006, after completing the " excavations " and six months before the announcement was made that no bones had been found, said that a human skeleton was found between two plates. From this photo was taken, then it was allegedly sent to a lab in the UK to determine the age. Another is unknown.
According Osmanagić his studies have proven that carved stones and tunnel located under the mountain. Osmanagić repeatedly claimed that his findings would have far-reaching impact on the understanding of human history in Visoko. He compares the heights of the largest pyramids of the earth in Mexico and Egypt to that of the Visočica Mountain and concludes that all of these pyramids could be built by the same people, with the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun was built as the last and greatest. A little later he withdrew this statement and said that the Visočica mountain rather the " mother of all Pyramids" was, with hidden messages for later generations.
Osmanagić assumes a height of 220 m, other reports speak of 70 or 100 meters. Are there really 220 meters, the Pyramid of the Sun would be one-third higher than the Great Pyramid of Giza, and thus the largest in the world.
Connections to Atlantis
Osmanagić, who has also published under his American name " Sam Osmanagich ," is author of the pseudo-scientific book "The World of the Maya", claims the Mayan relations with Atlantis and Lemuria. In this work, we find the following conclusions:
" The Maya gained knowledge from their ancestors in Atlantis and Lemuria. Cities were planned and built the temples and pyramids were facing around a central square around. They corresponded with the movement of the sun and other celestial bodies ... "
Osmanagićs concept similar to that of William James Perry and Grafton Elliot Smith in her book Children of the Sun (1923). The authors claimed that all ancient civilizations have their roots in ancient Egypt. Their work represented one of today's research long ago refuted doctrine, which is also known as diffusionism. Osmanagić added this concept, added the " vanished civilizations " of Atlantis and Lemuria. The principles laid down by Smith and Perry theses were, however, due to methodological errors promptly rejected by the experts. History models that treat Atlantis, are considered by the majority of professional historians and archaeologists rather than pseudoscience.
Activities in resort
The Foundation The Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun in 2005 published a plan of its activities for 2006 to 2010. For 2006, the plan was to restore the top of the pyramid of the sun. It was also provided to develop and launch a marketing program transport links in the region. For 2007, it was planned to continue the excavations and to promote the Plješevica Mountain internationally as the " Pyramid of the Moon ." Rejection and criticism
Not a single scientist of rank Osmanagićs has confirmed allegations. From a geological perspective, the rectangular shape of the hill is rather on the properties of the breccia, a sedimentary rock which makes up the mountains due. This rock is composed of plate-shaped square chunks that resemble artificially hewn stones at a cursory level, and thereby forms also striking angular landforms. Tunnel in the mountain discovered were interpreted by John Bohannon, 2006 in an article in the prestigious journal Science as remnants of old mines and smaller walls as ruins of medieval water basin.
In June 2006, a number of renowned scientists have a letter of protest under the title " Bosnian Pyramids: A pseudoarchaeological myth and a threat to the existing cultural and historical heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina " written to the Secretary General of UNESCO, in which it strongly against Semir Osmanagić and his projects warn. In December 2006, also wrote a letter of protest against the support of the pyramid hypothesis and related research by the Bosnian authorities. The researchers lament lack of support from reputable archeology in Bosnia in favor of pseudo-scientific pyramid theory. Furthermore, the destruction of real artifacts about the Neolithic Butmir culture through improper excavation of Osmanagić and his team was feared.
Controversy
The " affair Izmo Guglić " is a hoax of a known Izmo Guglić bloggers. In February 2008, sent two Guglic content senseless, but interspersed with pseudo-scientific language works - signed as Dr. phil. Amer Kovacevic - for publication on the website of Semir Osmanagić. After the personal recommendation of Semir Osmanagić both works were published immediately. One of the two works was translated into English by a member of his team. Shortly thereafter, followed by the publication of a similar article of Osmanagićs employees Davorin Vrbančić. This was clearly inspired by the publications of the " Dr. phil. Amer Kovacevic ".
Even after Izmo Guglić had announced in his blog that both articles were a hoax and that " Dr. phil. Amer Kovacevic " is a fictional character, the article from the project by Semir Osmanagić site was not removed.
