Oudalan Province

Oudalan is a province in the region of the Sahel in the north of Burkina Faso, named after a Tuareg clan, which prevails since the 18th century about Oudalan, but now only has symbolic power.

The province consists of the departments of Deou, Gorom Gorom -, Oursi, Markoye and Tin - Akoff and has 197 240 inhabitants ( 2006 census ). Capital of the province created in 1984 Gorom - Gorom is. The dominant ethnic groups are Tuareg and Fulani.
