Outrage (band)

Outrage is a Japanese thrash metal band from Nagoya, which was founded in 1982.

History

The band formed in 1982 by Yosuke Abe ( electric guitar ), Yoshihiro Yasui ( electric bass), Shinya Tange (drums) and Kazutoyo Ito (vocals ) was founded. Together they played initially in some clubs some cover versions from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. In 1986 Ito got out of the band and was replaced by Naoki Hashimoto. In 1987 they released their first EP called Outrage. The debut album then followed in 1988 by the name of Black Clouds. In the next two years followed with blind to Reality and The Great Blue more albums. In 1991 they recorded with producer Stefan Kaufmann on the next album The Final Day and published it later that year.

In 1992, the band appeared as the opening band for Panteras first tour of Japan, along with Corrosion of Conformity and GBH. The next album Spit followed in 1993. Appeared in 1995 with Life Until Deaf the sixth studio album, which in 1997 with Who We Are followed the seventh. In 1999, the band of singer Naoki Hashimoto separated. In 2000, the band formed their own label 30min. Records and the remaining three members decided to proceed to the third, instead of looking for a new singer. After they had the EPs Volume One and Play Loud released in the years 2001 and 2002, appeared with 24-7 her eighth studio album in 2002. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band, the compilation Nagoya Noise Pollution was established in 2003 Orchestra released the next album called Cause for Pause appeared in the following year.

Naoki Hashimoto singer returned in 2007 and went back to the band with the band on tour and performed with this at various concerts and festivals. In 2008, The Years of Rage was released, a CD and DVD, were included on the recordings from the tour of 2007. In the same year the compilation Awakening was released in 2008 on the newly recorded pieces of the album The Final Day and Life Until Deaf were included.

Together with producer Fredrik Nordstrom, she went the band in September 2009 Studio Fredman and released the album Outrage in November of the same year after her appearance on the Loud Park festival. The album was the first studio album in 12 years with singer Hashimoto. In early 2011 the band went on tour, and was awarded in March with the Aichi Prefecture Cultural Art Prize for continuous, musical engagement in her hometown Nagoya. In addition, a documentary called Shine on Travelogue of Outrage was taken by Takayuki Yamada, this was broadcast in Tokyo and Nagoya and published in March on DVD.

Style

Characteristic of the style of the band is kept simple structure of the songs, and the high speed of the drums. The band is described as a mixture of the styles of Grave Digger, Rage and Danzig. The songs are melodic held despite their high aggressiveness.
