Owen Moore

Owen Moore (born 12 December 1886 in County Meath, Ireland, † June 9, 1939 in Beverly Hills, California ) was an American actor of Irish descent.

Life

Like his brothers Tom and Matt Owen Moore was a busy performer of the silent film era. At 11 years old he came with his family from Ireland to the United States. Not least because of his good looks he was discovered for the theater and from 1908 also for the film. He was employed at the Biograph Company, among others, David Wark Griffith in his early works.

Owen became acquainted with Mary Pickford know who was on his way to stardom. They married secretly in 1911 and made ​​together several films, including James Kirkwood's Cinderella and Mistress Nell. 1920, the couple divorced and Pickford married Douglas Fairbanks.
