Pagan's Mind

Pagan's Mind is a progressive metal band from Norway.

Band History

The band was founded in summer 2000 in Porsgrunn / Skien by Nils K. Rue, Stian Kristoffersen and Thorstein Aaby, who had previously played together in the metal band Silver Spoon. Over the next few weeks, the band was completed by Steinar Krokmo, Jørn Viggo Lofstad and Ronny Tegner. That same year they recorded their first album. " Infinity Divine " was released in November 2000 at the Norwegian label "Face Front".

On 18 November 2002 they released their second album "Celestial Entrance" on the German label Limb Music Productions, which also had to re-record the 2004 debut album. The third studio album " Enigmatic: Calling" rose in 2005 in the Norwegian album chart at # 15.

2004 played Jørn Viggo Lofstad, Stian Kristoffersen and Ronny Tegner with Jørn landing his solo album " Out to Every Nation " and a remake of his own debut album " Infinity Divine".

In November 2007 she released her new album " God's Equation ", which was recorded as its predecessors in the Media Maker Studios in Norway. Thorstein Aaby, the former guitarist and founding member of the band, died on 24 July 2007.

Apart from a small UK tour in March 2006, Pagan's Mind mainly played at festivals in Scandinavia. The end of 2007 they toured as the opening act for Fates Warning by Germany. 2008 made ​​tours as the opening act of Brainstorm, Wolf Power and Sonata Arctica, 2009, another in North America with Stratovarius. In addition, Pagan's Mind often occurs in the various " ProgPower " festivals that take place in Scandinavia, the Netherlands, the UK and the USA.

The album Heavenly Ecstasy appeared under the new label SPV / Steamhammer mid-May 2011. In the Norwegian charts, it debuted at # 1 on the Norwegian artists as well as 10th international artists.

End of May, followed by concerts in Belgium and Holland, including the Dokk'em Festival. The Dutch magazine " Aardschok " Heavenly Ecstasy has named album of the month.

In June 2011, Pagan played on the main stage at the Graspop festival in Belgium.

In September / October 2011 go Pagan's Mind with Symphony X and DGM on tour in Europe.
