Brainstorm (German band)

Brainstorm is a German power metal band from barley tablets. It was founded in 1989 by Torsten Ihlenfeld, Milan Loncaric and Dieter Bernert.

Band History

Brainstorm released their first demo Hand of Doom a year after its founding with Stefan Fronk as a singer. Later, they completed their occupation with Andreas Milan and the singer Marcus Jürgens. The band released their second demo Heart of Hate in 1992 in this lineup. Another demo was released in 1995 under the name The 5th Season. After another demo Promo '96 and some contributions to samplers Finally, in 1997 her first recording contract followed.

The debut album Hungry was produced in the same year on their own in Heidenheim Wasteland studio. 1998 were for the second album Unholy known names on the metal scene are committed as a guest: Dirk butcher (Gamma Ray ), Harald Spengler ( Stormwitch ) and producer Charlie Bauerfeind (including Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray ) ensured besides constantly improving songs for a technically sound much better album.

After the separation from singer Marcus Jürgens and a brief interlude of Henning Basse ( Metalium ) was committed with Andy B. Franck, a new singer who started his career at Ivanhoe and in the meantime had established his own band Symphorce. The band signed a record deal Metal Blade Records and produced the third album Ambiguity under the direction of Dirk and Sascha Paeth butcher ( Heavens Gate, Rhapsody ).

In October 2001, produced by Achim Köhler Metus Mortis album appeared. The new material was presented on a tour with Grave Digger and Tierra Santa the audience. Festival appearances throughout Europe and additional shows opening for Saxon took place after the fifth album Soul Temptation was recorded. After its release, the band played a tour opening for Edguy, as well as several festival appearances.

2004, the sixth album Liquid Monster was released, then followed by the first headlining tour. In addition, a music video for the song All Those Words was published, which was filmed in Aalen Tiefer Stollen in exhibition mine.

In 2006, the band played concerts at various European festivals.

End of June 2007 released their first DVD Brainstorm Honey from the B's ( Beasting around the bus ) with live recordings of various concerts. In July, bassist Andreas Milan gave his exit known, in December, the band's new bassist Antonio Ieva ( Farmer Boys, Stereo.Pilot ) ago. In October 2007, published Brainstorm their new single Fire Walk With Me The associated album Downburst was released in late January 2008. It was the most successful album up to this point (see chart position ). The following European tour was again a headlining tour and was very well received by the fans.

2009 there was a change to a new record company; of "Metal Blade" to " AFM Records "; both well-established, large and very well-functioning companies. In the same year the next album Memorial Roots was recorded and released. The following tour was not long in coming, and led the band for the first time to Mexico and re-enter the United States. One of the highlights was certainly the appearance at Masters Of Rock Festival in the Czech Republic before more than 25,000 people who abfeierten the band frenetically.

On The Spur Of The Moment, the ninth album, was released in 2011 and promoted by two major tours across Europe. Again was played in countries where you've never been before ( Poland, Bulgaria, etc.). The accompanying festival tour through Europe was an extraordinary success.
