Symphorce

Symphorce was a German power metal band from Stuttgart.

History

In October 1998, founded Andy B. Franck, singer of Brainstorm and formerly also in Ivanhoe, the band. Members were still Stefan " Stef " Bertolla (guitar ), Michael "Mike" Hammer ( electric bass), Hans -Peter "HP" Walter ( keyboards) and Stefan Köllner (drums) at the foundation next to Andy B. Franck.

The first publication was in 1999 Truth to Promises One tour supporting Mercyful Fate followed by a line- up change. Guitarist Cédric " Cede " Dupont ( meanwhile also at Freedom Call in use ) and bassist Dennis Wohlbold came to Symphorce. The cast then consisted of Andy B. Franck, HP Walter, Cede Dupont and Dennis Wohlbold.

Nearly a year later, the second album with Sinctuary ( 2000). At the same time was Franck singer of German power metallers Brainstorm.

After Sinctuary came drummer Sascha Sauer joined the band. H. P. Walter left on his own request for reasons of time after the album Sinctuary the band no longer participated in the albums phorcefulAhead and Twice Second but more as a keyboardist in the studio with, but in live concerts. Rhythm guitarist Markus Pohl completed the band. He replaced with the second guitar so to speak, the missing keyboards, which changed the sound of Symphorce.

With Metal Blade Records as their new partner Symphorce took in August 2002 with assistance by Achim Köhler Primal Fear in the House-Of -Music- Studios on their third album. phorcefulAhead is the result of this collaboration. After that took place in spring 2003 tour with Kamelot and on several summer festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Summer Breeze, the new album Twice Second was taken.

In spring 2004 Symphorce was with Wizard as the opening act of the band Grave Digger in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on the go. On 5 September 2005, the fifth studio album GodSpeed ​​has been published. Accompanied by the band Stratovarius, the group went on their first U.S. tour.

Her last live appearance at a festival was on 9 June 2007 on the Rage Against Racism open air. In the same year the album Become Death has been released.

In January 2010, the band signed a record deal with AFM Records and began work on a new album. In the meantime published guitarist Cédric " Cede " Dupont in June 2010, only instrumental songs -containing solo album titled melodrama. Moreover, appeared on 23 June 2010, the debut album Point of Origin of Dupont's new band Downspirit. The seventh studio album, titled Unrestricted appeared on October 15, 2010.

On 9 October 2011, the band released their resolution known as the members of Andy B. Franck and Cédric " Cede " Dupont had too much to do with their main bands. This made another tour and record new albums impossible.
