Paluan, Occidental Mindoro

Paluan is a Philippine municipality in the province of Occidental Mindoro, it was founded on January 5, 1901. It has 15,223 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ). On the territory of the municipality lies the Mount Calavite Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the oldest protected areas in the Philippines. It lies at the western exit of the Isla Verde Road to Calavite Street and the South China Sea. The Calavite - road separates from the Mindoro Lubang Islands.
