San Jose (Occidental Mindoro)

San Jose ( Tagalog: Bayan ng San Jose) is a Philippine municipality in the province of Occidental Mindoro, in the Administrative Region IV -B, Mimaropa. It has 131 188 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 38 barangays. It is classified as a church of the first income class in the Philippines and as a partially urbanized.

The topography of the municipality is characterized by mountainous terrain. Parts of Mount Iglit Baco National Park situated on the territory of the municipality. Your neighboring municipalities are Bulalacao ( Oriental Mindoro Province ) in the east, Rizal and Calintaan in the north, Magsaysay in the south. To the west lies the Mindoro Strait.

San Jose has an airport and a deep-water harbor, ferry connections exist to Manila and Batangas City. The airline Zest Airways, Cebu Pacific and Airphil Express serve the airport, some day, from the Manila airport.
