Papyrus 38

(Referred to Gregory- Aland Sigel 38) Papyrus 38 is an early copy of the Greek New Testament. It is a papyrus manuscript of the Book of Acts contains only the verses 18,27-19,6.12-16. Using palaeography, it has been dated to the early 3rd century.

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Western text-type. Kurt Aland described him as "free text" and placed it in Category IV. The text of this manuscript is related to the Codex Bezae.

It is currently at the University of Michigan under the signature P. Me. Inv. No 1571 held in Ann Arbor.
