Papyrus 48 ( Gregory- Aland Sigel 48 referred ) is a early Greek copy of the New Testament. It is a papyrus manuscript of the Book of Acts contains only the verses 23,11-17.23-29. Using palaeography, it was assigned to the 3rd or 4th century. It has great similarity to 13

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Western text-type. Kurt Aland placed it in Category IV. The Aland described the text as free, but with D related. This is remarkable, since 48 and D have no common material.

The manuscript is currently in the Laurentian Library, under the signature PSI 1165 in Florence.
