Papyrus 54

Papyrus 54 ( Gregory- Aland Sigel 54 referred ) is a early Greek copy of the New Testament. It is a papyrus manuscript of the Epistle of James contains only the verses 2,16-18.22-26; 3:2-4. Using palaeography, it has been dated to the 5th or 6th century.

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Alexandrian text-type. Aland placed it in with some hesitation in category III (probably Category II).

The manuscript is currently in the Princeton University Library ( P. Princ 15;. Garrett depots 7742 ) kept in Princeton.
