Papyrus 79

(Referred to Gregory- Aland Sigel 79) Papyrus 79 is an early copy of the Greek New Testament. It is a papyrus manuscript contains some parts of Hebrews. The remaining text comprises the verses 10:10-12,28-30. Using palaeography he has been dated to the 7th century.

Nomina sacra are developed; No corrections.

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Alexandrian text-type. Aland placed it in Category II because of his age.

The manuscript is preserved in the papyrus collection of the Egyptian Museum under the signature P. 6774.
