Papyrus 81

(Referred to Gregory- Aland Sigel 81) Papyrus 81 is an early copy of the Greek New Testament. It is a papyrus manuscript contains some parts of 1 Peter. The remaining text comprises the verses 1,20-3,1.4-12. Using palaeography he has been dated to the 4th century.

The Greek text of this codex probably representative of the Alexandrian text-type. Aland placed it in Category II because of his age.

The manuscript is currently owned by S. Daris ( № 20) in Trieste.
