Papyrus 86

(Referred to Gregory- Aland Sigel 86) Papyrus 86 is an early copy of the Greek New Testament. It is a papyrus manuscript contains parts of Matthew's Gospel. Have been preserved are the verses 5:13-16, 22-25. Using palaeography, it has been dated to the 4th century.

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Alexandrian text-type. Aland placed it in Category II.

The manuscript is in the Institute of Archaeology of the University and City Library of Cologne, University of Cologne under the signature P. Col. theol. 5516 kept.
