Paragon (Band)

Paragon is a heavy and power metal band from Hamburg.

History

The band was formed in 1990 by guitarist Martin Christian. According to the publications of some demo tapes and a mini CD of the band in 1994, it was possible to release their debut album World of Sin. Shortly after her recording studio Blue Merle went bankrupt and Martin decided to make the band a break. About two years later, Martin found in Andrew, Jan, Mark and Claudius four new members - and recorded the album The Final Command with them on. In 1999 it was time for the publication of Chalice of Steel. Both albums received good reviews. 2001 brought Paragon Steelbound out, developed and produced by Piet Sielck ( Iron Savior ). Piet worked previously with the albums Steelbound, Law of the Blade, The Dark Legacy and Revenge. 2005 left drummer Markus " Big.M " Corby for health reasons the band.

End of May 2007 appeared the album Forgotten Prophecies. On this album the previous cooperation with Piet Sielck was no longer continued, which is clearly heard the sound. After the recordings, the longtime bassist January Bünning left the band and was replaced by Dirk Seifert. However, this was only for a short time the band since Jan Bünning returned in 2009 to Paragon. View Album Screen Slaves ( 2008), the Larger Than Life EP preceded, Uwe Lulis ( Rebellion, ex -Grave Digger ) was brought in as producer on board what the album again guaranteed a decent sound.

To the dismay of the band and the fans to band founder and main songwriter Martin Christian decided in 2011 to leave Paragon because all the double burden became too great due to his second band Kneipenterroristen. He was replaced by the Wheels of Steel guitarist Wolfgang Tewes. Since also left the band Günny Kruse previously, now two guitarists had to be incorporated.

With the new guitar player from the band in January Bertram Rapid Angel, where he continued playing together with Christian Gripp and Dirk Seifert, the band was working on a new album, which was released on October 19, 2012, and again produced by Piet Sielck.
