Partizánska Ľupča

Partizánska Ľupča ( until 1946 " Nemecká Ľupča "; Deutschliptsch German, Hungarian Németlipcse ) is a municipality in the north of Slovakia. It is located away from Liptovsky Mikulas in the basin Podtatranská kotlina, 15 km from Ruzomberok and 20 km.

The village was first mentioned in writing in 1252 and received its city rights in 1270. According to the expulsion of the German population of the place ( "partisans" ) was given the additional name " Partizánska ".

In addition to the main town of the municipality also includes the villages Magurka (1882 amalgamated ) and Železné in the Low Tatras.
