Pascal Chimbonda

Pascal Chimbonda (born 21 February 1979 in Les Abymes Guadeloupe ) is a French football player.

Club career

The Pascal mostly used on the right-back Chimbonda grew up in the French overseas department of Guadeloupe in the Caribbean and began with a club in Pointe -a-Pitre to play soccer. In Europe, it was first known for his commitment to the then first division club Le Havre AC 1999. In le HAC, the doyen of French football, he remained even after his descent in 2000 and two years later was instrumental to its return to Ligue 1 at. When the club had in the Ligue 2 again at the end of the season 2002/ 03, Chimbonda joined the SC Bastia and was also immediately regulars. After Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have recently expressed interest in signing Chimbondas and he himself - despite contract until 2009 - toying with a change, the Board of Wigan began in May 2006, his transfer fee the equivalent of € 8.7 million fixed; on the last day of the exchange period, he signed actually at Spurs. From here it moved in 2009 to the Sunderland AFC. After only half a season at Sunderland but was transferred back to the Spurs to be resold by these, again after only half a season, just to the Blackburn Rovers.

On January 21, 2011 Pascal Chimbonda joined Queens Park Rangers in the Football League Championship, of which he was but borrowed after a short time to Panetolikos.
