Patong

Patong ( Thai: ป่า ตอง ) is a commune ( tambon) of the district ( Amphoe ) of Kathu Phuket Province. Phuket is located in the southern region of Thailand. In the town lies the Patong beach ( Thai หาด ป่า ตอง - Has Patong, English: Patong Beach. ), A well known beach and tourist resort on the west coast of Phuket Island.

Patong Beach, a 3.5 km long beach that runs along the western side of the resort Patong is the main tourist destination on the island, known for its nightlife and the shopping centers where you can buy cheap. Incidents

Patong Beach was one of the worst affected areas of Phuket, although the destruction was not nearly as bad here as in neighboring Khao Lak.
