Patrice Servelle ( born July 20, 1974 in Monte Carlo ) is a Monegasque Bobsportler. First Servelle brakeman was in Albert Grimaldi Bob, later he became a pilot himself and reached in December 2010 as the first Monegasque the podium at the Bob World Cup.

Career

Servelles career as a bobsledder began in 1994. Initially it was the Monegasque, one of nine Bobsportlern in his nation, brakeman in the four-man event of Albert Grimaldi, the then heir to the throne of the principality. In this role Servelle took - as the youngest representative of his country at age 27 - for the first time at the Olympic Winter Games, which took place in Salt Lake City in 2002. In the four-man event the Monegasque occupied the 28th rank, which they did to the last-place Taiwanese about half a second behind. Successful was the start in the two- where Servelle and his partner Sébastien Gattuso reached the 22th place among 37 participants.

In the following years, Patrice Servelle established after the resignation of Albert as a pilot of the Monegasque Bob, he steered both the two - and -man bobsleigh. In February 2004 Servelle and Gattuso achieved in the two- an unexpected success when they reached fourth place at the World Championship in 2004 and thus achieved the best result for Monaco at the World Cup at all. Long time did not match Servelle to this result. By 2010 he managed at several times a place in the Top Ten in the World Cup and hit a respectable performance at the Olympic Winter Games in Turin in 2006 and Vancouver 2010 with a twelfth and a 19th place, but he never reached into the fight for the medals with one.

The 2010/11 season began very successfully for Servelle. After he had decided in November 2010, three races in the lower class America's Cup itself, he stood and his partner Lascelles Brown in early December in Calgary as the first Monegasque bobsledder on the podium in the World Cup. This Servelle could not last to benefit from his new brakeman Brown, who won as brakeman for Pierre Lueders and Lyndon Rush in Canadian Bobs Olympic medals. As a second they were the same time as the German duo Machata / Andreas Bredau down and been only two tenths slower than the Siegerbob by Karl Angerer.

Servelle is in a relationship with the Canadian Helen Upperton Bobpilotin.
